Gold Decal Printing Process
Gold/silver decal is mainly used for glass & ceramics, after firing in oven, (low temperature under 200 celcius degree), it has very good adhesion on glass & ceramics. Now our company newly developed UV ink for primer & covercoat, make the printing job more efficiently.
Step1:Screen printingPrimer/Undercoat on water slide decal paper, by 250 mesh count. Printing area is same with image.
Then dry for 4 to 6 hours.Complete drying. Or you can dry by UV dryer if use UV ink.
A.The undercoat is mixed with hardener(mixingproportion is 9:1), can be used within 8 hours after mixing.
B. workshop condition: humidity is 6075%, room temperature is 23 to 26 celcius degree.
Step2:Hot Stamping by hot stamping roller machine(as below picture),Ondecal paper.Complete drying.
Step3:ScreenPrintCovercoat/Varnish, by 80250 mesh count, printing area is 0.51mm bigger than undercoat area. Need complete drying, about 4 hours nature drying.
Or you can dry by UV dryer if use UV ink.
Step4:ScreenPrintCovercoatpeel off lacquer601A by 80 mesh count. Complete drying.Gold decal paper is done and ready for use after this step.
Tips for Plate Making and Printing:
1, Coating emulsion on screen plate for 4 times.
2, Printing squeegee by 70 or 75 degress.
3,If clients do embossing decal sticker, the embossing powder and gold stamping undercoat should be mixed and grinded subject to rightproportion.
